Italian Demo Day 2024 celebrates women-led agrifood innovations

On November 7th, the Italian Demo Day marked the successful conclusion of the third edition of the EIT Food Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme in Italy. Organised by the Future Food Institute, this event brought together ten talented female entrepreneurs to present their innovative agrifood projects in front of industry leaders, investors, and key stakeholders.

Study of 7,165 startups across 37 countries reveals that the percentage of women founders in deep tech has doubled since 2010, however, women remain underrepresented in the field at 17.4% (average for 2010-2022) of all deep tech startups.
